Connect the AI you already use
Add your folders.id MCP endpoint as a connector in a compatible AI client. Sign in when prompted, review the request, and choose the folders that connection may read.

- Client support and connector availability depend on your AI provider and plan.
- Each connection has its own folder permissions.
Ask with the right context
Ask your connected AI to find information or summarize a document. folders.id checks its permissions before returning content from the folders you selected.
- Your AI can search and read the knowledge you authorized.
- Documents outside its permitted folders remain unavailable.
- Review AI answers against the original source when accuracy matters.
Keep an eye on access
Review connections and activity in your workspace. When a project wraps up or your needs change, revoke a connection to block its next request.
- Inspect searches, reads, and refused requests in the activity record.
- An AI connection can never exceed the access of the person who granted it.
- Revoking access does not recall content an AI has already retrieved.
